HOW IT WORKS

From a first sentence to a working arrangement.

Four steps, no forms to decode. You will know who you are speaking to, how, and what it costs before anything begins.

THE PROCESS

01

Write to us.

A short form: what is happening, how you would like to talk, which hours you can keep, and where you are. You do not need to explain everything in it.

02

We read it and reply.

A person reads it, not a queue. We reply with a proposal — which practitioner, which channel, how often — or an honest answer that we are not the right service for this.

03

Agree the arrangement in writing.

The fee, what it includes, the cancellation terms and the review point, confirmed before the first paid session. Nothing starts until you say yes.

04

Begin, and review.

Sessions run at the rhythm you agreed. At the review point we look at whether it is working, and change it if it is not.

There is no assessment to pass

The first session is a conversation with a practitioner, not an intake exam. You will be asked what brought you, what you have already tried, and what you would like to be different. You can decline any question, and you can stop at any point.

What to have ready

A quiet room, headphones if you have them, and the number of minutes you can protect. For written work there is nothing to prepare — messages arrive on a schedule, and you answer when you can.

If the first practitioner is not the right fit, say so. Being reassigned is a normal part of the service, not a complaint.

CHOOSE YOUR CHANNEL

The channel is decided before the person.

All three are clinical settings. None is a lighter version of another, and you can change channel later if your circumstances change.

Video

A face-to-face call with room for silence. Best when you want presence and pace.

Choose video

Phone

Voice only. Useful when being seen feels like too much.

Choose phone

Written

Messages exchanged over an agreed window, with time to think before you answer.

FEES

Quoted individually, confirmed in writing.

Fees depend on the format, the frequency and who delivers the work, so we quote after we have read your request rather than publishing a number that would not apply to you.

Individual sessionQuoted per session
Couple or family sessionQuoted per session
Written exchangeQuoted per month
Guided self-help programmeQuoted per programme
Group programmeQuoted per programme

Every quote states what the fee covers, how often it is payable, the notice needed to cancel or move a session, and when it is reviewed. If your circumstances change, we review the arrangement with you rather than holding you to it.

LIMITS

What this service does not do.

Not an emergency service

We cannot provide crisis intervention or out-of-hours cover. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number. If you are in distress but safe, contact a crisis line in your country — we can point you to one when we reply.

No guaranteed timescale

We reply on working days, in the order requests arrive. We will not promise an appointment time we cannot keep, and if the wait is too long for what you need, we will say so.

We work with adults. We do not prescribe medication and we do not provide reports for courts, employers or insurers.

Frequently asked questions

About remote psychological support at ARVI&D.

What kind of support does ARVI&D provide?
Remote psychological support for adults across Europe, delivered by secure video, phone or written channels. We work with anxiety and low mood, trauma and stress, grief and loss, relationships and family, work and life stress, and questions of identity and self-esteem.
How is a practitioner matched to me?
We match on three things: the issue you bring, the channel you prefer, and the hours you can realistically keep. You tell us what matters in the request form; we reply with a proposal before anything is booked.
How do online sessions actually work?
Video sessions use a one-to-one call. Phone sessions are voice only. Written support happens over an agreed window, so you have time to think before you answer. All three are clinical settings, not a reduced version of one another.
How are fees agreed?
Fees depend on the format and frequency you need. We confirm the fee, what it includes and the cancellation terms in writing before the first paid session.
What should I do in an emergency?
ARVI&D is not an emergency service and cannot provide crisis intervention. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number. If you are in distress but not in immediate danger, contact a crisis line in your country; we can point you to one when we reply.
